NCCCC Wednesday Morning Network Group
Bylaws:
The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce has developed this group to foster and develop the business growth of member companies.
The intent is to foster business and personal development of member through mutual support and educational opportunities, realizing that the only path to
success is through the activities of each individual member, and at the individual pace of each. The guidelines by which this group is to operate include,
but are not necessarily limited to the following:
MEMBERSHIP:
· Membership is open to member companies of NCCCC.
· A member can represent only one profession or trade, and it must be the member’s principle, full time occupation.
· A member cannot be in another network group that permits only one member per profession or trade. (including other NCC Chamber Networking Groups)
· Membership in the group will be limited to one member per profession or trade.
ADMISSION:
· Prospective members must attend 3 consecutive meetings, verify business category seat is available, give one reference and
attend orientation the 4th Wednesday of the month they join at 9 a.m.
· Officers will decide to accept or decline membership and advise the prospect. Upon acceptance there will be a $20 one time fee for admission.
· Prospect must attend the next meeting to be accepted and given the Chamber Pro Card File.
· If a member drops out the the group for any reason, the member may re-apply as a new member 6 months after their exit date and pay $40 membership fee.
MEETINGS:
· 90 MINUTES see agenda below.
· Tour presence, for each compete meeting is crucial to your success and that of the group.
ATTENDENCE RESPONSIBILITY:
· Be on time, stay for the entire meeting.
· Send a surrogate if you can’t make it. ANYBODY can sit in for you, not just someone from within your business.
· 2d absence in 4 months results in a warning
· 3d absence in 4 months results in a warning and may results in the loss of your seat.
· 3 Lates (7:40 a.m.) or Early Outs (9 a.m.) equals one absence.
OBLIGATIONS:
· Develop and deliver warm and legitimate referrals (no minimum requirement).
· Bring guests/prospective members for NCCCC and/or the group.
· Follow up timely on referrals received, deliver promised quality and pricing.
· Maintain high standards of integrity in business conduct.
· Any unethical business practices, you may be asked to leave the group.
BOARD COMMITTEE:
· Made up of 5 members, including Chair and Co-Chair. Plus the previous Chair, elect.
· Responsible for overall success of the group; growth, and attendance of Members.
· In charge of timely communications, attendance, speaker schedule, monetary payments, welcoming new members,
police member categories, and track leads.
· Board is responsible for groups overall performance.
· Co-Chair becomes chair after 6-month term. Executive committee then votes in a new board member.
